From the socket style to the innovative barrel lock nut design, MOOG has a sway bar link for your car. Featuring problem-solving innovations for a long life, MOOG uses different sway bar link technologies based on your vehicle application.

MOOG offers three different sway bar links:

Socket style
Barrel lock nut (bolt style)
Hybrid

Socket Style

Made of premium materials for long-lasting dependability, MOOG socket style sway bar links have problem-solving innovations like a greasable socket to flush out contaminants, sealed boot to shield internal components, wrench flats for easy installation and thick connecting rod for strength.

Conventional / Barrel Lock Nut (Bolt Style)

Made of premium materials for long-lasting dependability, MOOG conventional sway bar links have problem-solving innovations like molded bushings that hold coated washers in place and easy-thread 1-in. barrel lock nut make it easier to install than traditional sway bar links.

Hybrid Style

Combining the best features of socket-style and bolt-style sway bar links, MOOG hybrid sway bar links feature problem-solving innovations like an integral boot shield to keep dirt and water out, greasable socket to flush out contaminants, preloaded bushings, stop-out design to minimize sensitivity to installation torque and molded bushings for easy installation.

WHAT ARE SWAY BAR LINKS?

A critical component of the suspension, the sway bar link attaches the sway bar to the vehicle’s suspension. Sway bar links feature bushings to help ensure quiet operation and a smooth ride. Think your sway bar links are failing? Worn sway bar links can contribute to steering looseness and strange noises when driving over bumps or making turns. In extreme cases a worn link could separate causing the vehicle to lean excessively when turning.

Clunking noise while driving

A bad sway bar link can cause a clunking noise while driving. You may also hear the sound when driving over bumps or making turns. Listen for unusual noises coming from the wheel area.

Vehicle leans when turning

If your vehicle leans excessively while turning or if you experience body roll, these are signs that there could be something wrong with your sway bar links.

Pothole damage

Repeatedly running over potholes can have a detrimental effect on your vehicle’s suspension system. If you hit a large pothole, look for signs of suspension problems like: bottoming out, excessive bouncing and loss of control, vibration in your steering wheel, loose steering, car pulling to one side or uneven tire wear.
